Countrywide Surveying Services, one of the leading suppliers of valuation panel management services, residential valuations and surveys in the UK, has won the award for ‘Best Anti-Fraud Service’ for the fourth year in succession at the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards 2016.

Countrywide Surveying Services beat off strong competition to pick up the accolade at an awards presentation held last night in London. The award was nominated by people from within the industry and judged by a panel of industry experts who chose the winner. The awards were open to mortgage intermediaries, law firms, conveyancers, surveyors, IT companies, insurance companies and other suppliers.

The Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards 2016 was attended by over 100 industry people and was presented by Joanne Atkin, Group Editor at Metropolis Business Media.

Commenting on the award, Paul Wareham, Managing Director of Countrywide Surveying Services, said:

“We are proud to win this award for the fourth year in succession which is a testament to our robust anti-fraud systems and processes. Our focus remains on working closer with lender clients keeping them informed and at the forefront of the surveying industry with regards to valuation and property risk issues. Our anti-fraud measures are embedded throughout our company and over the past three years we have prevented in excess of £10 million worth of potentially fraudulent lending.

“Our approaches to improving fraud identification and referrals to our clients have continued to evolve. We are referring record levels of suspicious activity to clients as a result of the continuing focus and training with our field and central employees.”

We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and we look forward to working with you in 2016.
