Countrywide Surveying Services, one of the leading suppliers of valuation panel management services, residential valuations and surveys in the UK, has won the award for ‘Best Anti-Fraud Service’ for the third year in succession at the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards 2015.

Countrywide Surveying Services beat off strong competition to pick up the accolade at an awards presentation held last night in London. The award was nominated by people from within the industry and judged by a panel of industry experts who chose the winner.

Commenting on the award, Paul Chapman, Managing Director of Countrywide Professional Services, said:

“We are proud to win this award for the third year in succession. It is testament to the anti-fraud measures embedded throughout our company, the improved granularity of the data we are able to provide lenders via our in-house data analyst and the fact that over the past two years we have prevented in excess of £8 million worth of potentially fraudulent lending.

“Our approaches to improving fraud identification and referrals to our clients have continued to evolve. We are referring record levels of suspicious activity to clients as a result of the continuing focus and training with our field and central staff.”

Commenting, Sally Waddingham, Financial Crime Risk Manager, Yorkshire Building Society, said:

“The Financial Crime Risk Team at YBS Group continues to work closely with Countrywide Surveying Services and have seen a considerable increase in valuer referrals over the past two years. The valuers act as our eyes and ears on the frontline and their information is proving invaluable in helping us mitigate financial crime risks and reduce potential losses.”

We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and we look forward to working with you in 2014.
