Countrywide plc wins two top industry awards

Countrywide plc, the UK’s largest property services group, were delighted to be awarded with two accolades at the 2014 British Mortgage Awards held in London on 10 July. 

Countrywide plc’s Financial Services Director Nigel Stockton received the award for Business Leader of the Year Broker (20 and more Advisers) and Chief Operating Officer of Countrywide Conveyancing Services, Sue Spurgeon was named Conveyancer Business Leader of the year.

Nigel Stockton and Sue Spurgeon beat off strong competition to pick up the awards at a gala ceremony held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London. The awards were judged by a panel of industry experts who chose the winner. Attended by over 500 guests, the British Mortgage Awards 2014 were presented by Paula John, Editor in Chief at AE3 Media, and headlining the evening’s entertainment was comedian, Sean Lock.

Commenting on his award, Nigel Stockton, Financial Services Director, Countrywide plc, said:

“I am proud to win this award and would like to thank everyone who nominated me. I would also like to thank every member of the Countrywide financial services team, as without their hard work and dedication I would not have been able to win this award.”

Commenting on her award, Sue Spurgeon, Chief Operating Officer, Countrywide Conveyancing Services, said:

“I am delighted and proud to accept this prestigious award from industry peers on behalf of myself and the dedicated Conveyancing team at Countrywide. We will continue to do what we do best; driving innovation through investment in our technologies and processes, in order to set the standard for industry best practice and deliver excellent services to our customers. "
