Homes for Britain is a united voice for British housing and brings together every part of the housing sector, to ensure our politicians understand that housing needs to be at the top of the political agenda.

During last year’s Party Conference season, the inaugural Homes for Britain initiative made a real impact with Ed Balls’ announcing a housing stimulus and the Prime Minister stating that housing is crucial to economic growth.

This year Homes for Britain is set to be even bigger with nearly 60 events run by more than 40 organisations taking place under the brand, including two Homes for Britain receptions – one at the Labour party conference and one at the Conservative Party conference.

Aside from the strong economic argument that every pound invested in housing generates three pounds in the wider economy, a decent home is a fundamental building block to a healthy and dignified life.

Countrywide plc is proud to support the Homes for Britain initiative.  The Homes for Britain receptions at the Labour and Conservative Party Conferences will give attendees the opportunity to hear from key policy makers and influencers about the best ways to deliver growth in the housing industry. These events are so important to put housing where it belongs, at the top of the political agenda for the benefit of prospective homeowners and the economy.
