All homes marketed for sale in Scotland, with a limited number of exceptions (such as new build homes) now require a Home Report. A Home Report contains three documents that provide buyers and sellers with essential information about the condition and value of a home before an offer to purchase is made.

A Home Report is comprised of the following:

  1. Single Survey, which contains detailed information about the condition and value of the property along with an accessibility audit for people with particular needs, such as families with young children;
  2. Property Questionnaire, which is completed by the seller of the property and contains such details as council tax banding and alterations made to the home;
  3. Energy Report, which shows the property's energy efficiency rating and gives useful advice on how to reduce carbon emissions and save on energy bills.

All of Harvey Donaldson & Gibson's Chartered Surveyors are required to have undergone RICS Scotland's Single Survey training and are fully qualified to deliver the Single Survey.

Harvey Donaldson & Gibson is one of the few company's whose reports are accepted and trusted by all major banks and lending institutions ensuring maximum benefit to both seller and buyer.
