Ronald originally founded Ronald Preston and Co. a general estate agency in 1958 and concentrated on the London New Homes market from the very beginning. Possessing extensive experience in Planning and Development he predominantly concentrates on the assembly and marketing of sites in the London region. Over the years Ronald has created and maintained successful personal relationships with many nationally known developers and those connections continue to provide many opportunities to advise and deal with a significant number of substantial residential schemes. With more than 65 years’ experience in property, mostly within the London Residential Development market, his enthusiasm remains undiminished and his iconic status within the business is well deserved.

Peter Biggs MRTPI
Prior to heading up the Planning Team, Peter worked as the Divisional Head of Planning at Barratt Developments and David Wilson Homes. Along with his extensive commercial experience of the development process and engaging with local authorities and communities, he is skilled in project managing teams of consultants, promoting strategic land, and making planning policy representations. With his commercial understanding and 10 years of local authority experience in both development control and planning policy, Peter is best placed to understand the complexities of the planning process, negotiate solutions and achieve desired outcomes for clients.
Rex Elliott MRICS
Regional Land Director (Central Region)
Rex has over 40 years’ experience in the property profession. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, he chose the sales and marketing side of residential property at an early stage in his career and became a partner in Eves based in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. He then held a number of responsible positions with Black Horse Agencies before joining Countrywide in 2004. Since 1988 Rex has specialised in the Land and New Homes sector throughout the Northern Home Counties, East Anglia and the East Midlands, selling some of the largest developments in the area. Over the last 10 years he has concentrated more on land and has acted for private land owners, companies, developers, receivers and the church in the sale and acquisition of residential building land with and without planning permission. He has also been involved in, and brought to fruition, a number of longer term option opportunities.
Richard Trow BA (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI, AssocRICS

With several years’ experience working in a senior position within the private and public sector, Richard is uniquely positioned to offer a ‘from experience view’ of all matters concerning development consultancy, land agency and property marketing. Richard is a chartered Town Planner and Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute as well as being a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Richard has demonstrated an ability to negotiate challenging land deals and has an impressive track record of formulating marketing strategies designed to maximise value for vendors.

Luke has over 19 years’ experience in the housing industry and has worked in the Land and New homes sector for over 8 years primarily sourcing new land opportunities for developer clients. Luke deals with land offerings at various stages including strategic-land through to consented sites ready to build. He prides himself on his excellent knowledge of the land market displaying an aptitude for consulting on everything from unit types through to the demand and density of housing on sites being promoted through the local plan. On the consented schemes Luke can offer local market expertise to value the development site in order to secure buyers at the optimum price for the client.

With a career in the property industry spanning 17 years, Scott is a recognised and respected property professional. He has been involved in countless land acquisitions and disposals across the West Country and South Wales regions. Scott’s previous role as a Land and Property auctioneer, covering the same regions, was central to the development of his expertise and passion for residential development and strategic land opportunities. He relishes the variation of a working day dealing with both private clients and national house-builders and demonstrates a fierce desire to drive forwards the regeneration and development of the South West on behalf Countrywide.
Rachel has previously worked as a Senior Planner at several Local Planning Authorities, both in and around London, providing her with extensive development management experience. She has detailed knowledge of working with different policy frameworks, in dealing with a broad range of planning applications on varying scales, and in advising on complex pre-application schemes. In her current role, Rachel is ideally placed to provide detailed and comprehensive planning advice to clients on a range of schemes, across a range of sectors. Rachel has an MSc in Spatial Planning.
