Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) today announces that it will be managing a direct recruitment process to seek and recruit the best talent in the surveying industry.
As a direct result of the success of its surveyor trainee programme, CSS has decided to move away from using recruitment agencies to find new talent and manage the whole process in-house. This direct recruitment approach will best allow CSS to really get to know candidates wishing to apply and to assess abilities and skills required for a role.
In February 2015, CSS announced it was delighted to report that 87 surveyors on its trainee programme had become fully qualified Associates of RICS and begun working hard in the field. An exceptional first time pass rate of 90% was achieved across all three cohorts of the trainee programme, against the overall industry level of just below 70%.
The results have provided significant growth, and have increased the CSS in-house surveyor capacity by 26% plus. This increased scale has been underpinned by a growing customer base of blue chip lenders with targeted contracts being successfully won during 2014.
Commenting on the new recruitment process, Paul Wareham, Director of Field Operations, Countrywide Surveying Services, said:
“Our trainee programme is not only focused on the growth of our Countrywide Surveying Services business but also the growth and development of our people. Over the past two years we have acted in response to the industry demand for trained Surveyors and we are proud to see 87 qualified trainees working in the field, and taking the first steps in their careers.
“It is due to the success of our programme that we have made the strategic decision to reach out to Surveyors interested in furthering their career asking them to contact our surveying team directly.”
