Countrywide plc, the UK’s largest integrated property Group, and the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) are proud to announce that the first cohort of candidates who registered with the AgencyPro training programme have attained their City and Guilds level 3 qualifications.

The candidate’s were awarded with their City & Guilds and NAEA membership certificates on Wednesday, 14 October at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham during The Property Ombudsman’s 2015 conference.

In June 2015, Countrywide rolled out the programme working with AgencyPro, who are a City & Guilds accredited learning centre and also partnered with the NAEA. The NAEA membership is a unique offer only open to those who attain the AgencyPro Level 3 qualification. This programme aims to bring new members into the NAEA and build on the strong skills that employees already have, while also attracting new talent to learn and develop within the business. Countrywide are the first national estate agency network to adopt such an undertaking, offering employees the opportunity of high level training alongside their nationally recognised qualifications.

The AgencyPro Level 2 Technical Award was independently approved by City & Guilds and so far over 350 qualifications have been awarded to Countrywide employees, with a further 600 employees studying towards it.  The Level 3 Technical Award currently has 200 Countrywide employees studying towards it.

As part of the programme, Countrywide employees will also benefit from a large number of member benefits, including access to training and continuing professional development, regular updates on regulation and policy changes through AgencyPro and the NAEA.

Commenting Mark Hayward, Managing Director, NAEA, said:

“Just four months after announcing our national partnership with Countrywide via AgencyPro, it’s a fantastic to welcome these five individuals into NAEA membership and I wish them many congratulations. These agents have worked hard to enhance their professional qualifications and it’s great that so many other agents will follow suit in the future.”

Commenting John Gray, Head of Management Development, Countrywide plc, said:

“The strategic decision was made to roll out this programme to encourage and invite new members into the NAEA. In turn building on the strong skills that we already have within Countrywide as well as attracting new talent into the business. We are ensuring that our employees are NAEA certified members who adhere to high professional standards and belong to a reputable, recognised and regulated professional body, maintaining that we are the customer’s first choice and the UK’s largest property services group.”
