Countrywide trainees attend a reception at RICS headquarters to celebrate their success

Countrywide Surveying Services has recently achieved further success in qualifying an additional 30 surveyors through its trainee surveyor programme as Associate members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

An exceptional pass rate of 85% was achieved against the overall industry level of just below 70%.

Commenting on this achievement, Paul Chapman, Managing Director of Countrywide Surveying Services said:

“Once again, I am absolutely delighted by the level of success we have achieved which is a real testament to the sheer hard work and determination of the trainees themselves but also the quality of the training and support that we have been able to provide. This has been a substantial investment for us. With the positive support and approval of our key clients, the additional capacity provided by our newly qualified surveyors will further assist our service proposition.”

Countrywide Surveying Services has worked closely with its clients to demonstrate and agree the qualification process along with the control structure that has been implemented for its newly qualified team.

Each of the trainees has had the benefit of being mentored by local experienced surveyors during their training and even when qualified they have been subject to further rigours of the comprehensive Countrywide specific competency framework which is over and above the base requirements of the RICS qualification. Countrywide competency is also tested by an in-house professional interview with senior staff before any fully supervised fee earning is sanctioned.

To recognise and celebrate the success of the trainees, Countrywide Surveying Services recently held a reception for them at RICS headquarters in Central London which was hosted by the Institution’s UK Residential Director, Andrew Bulmer.

Commenting Andrew Bulmer, said:

“This was a truly uplifting event and it was a privilege to share it with so many new members.  I spoke with as many delegates as I could and, without exception, was genuinely impressed with the standard of knowledge and industry awareness they demonstrated.  Equally impressive was the overwhelming enthusiasm and determination of these new members to seize the opportunity and progress their new career – a humbling reminder of what it is to be a member of a world class organisation.”
