Countrywide Land & New Homes has completed its first sale on Devon's largest new build development this month.
The sale at Cranbrook is a landmark achievement for Countrywide and Bovis Homes as it is the first house sale completion for the new sustainable community, which is set to become the first major new settlement in Devon since the Middle Ages.
Outline planning permission to build 2,900 homes on the 405 acre site at Cranbrook was agreed in 2010, and the first phase released by Bovis Homes, known as Heron's Reach has a range of properties varying from 1 bed apartments to 4 bed executive homes and rental investments.
Countrywide, the UK's largest land & new homes agent, has an exclusive agreement with Bovis Homes to provide sales and marketing expertise through Countrywide's Fulfords brand, a long-established business in the heart of Devon, which has 39 offices and a specialist New Homes department and Land & Planning team.
The news comes after a strong 2012 performance from Countrywide Land & New Homes with sales completions up 13.9% Q1 2012 (vs. Q1 2011).
James Poynor, Managing Director of Countrywide Land & New Homes, said: "This fantastic achievement is a credit to everyone at Bovis Homes, Countrywide and Fulfords. This news demonstrates the unrivalled value we offer developer clients - both large and small - to deliver results and source the right sales professionals to either man a site or market a development through one of our 1,300 offices and 46 leading property brands."
James added: "Our unique brand coverage enables us to market homes in every price bracket in almost every town and city throughout the UK; be it for first time buyers or high net worth individuals and buy-to-let investors. There are a growing number of developer builder clients that recognise the value we offer and with 22,000 applicants registering every week, many of which might not have been looking for new build initially, our unique insight to UK home movers is proving to be a winning formula in a challenging market. "
Barry Cummins, Bovis Homes Regional Sales and Marketing Director, said: "We're proud to be leading the way at Cranbrook where we are forming a great team with Countrywide to offer Devon homebuyers superb new properties and unrivalled customer service.
"This is a major milestone at a ground-breaking, eco-friendly new community. There has been a phenomenal level of interest in Cranbrook and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Countrywide as more residents move in and the community takes shape."
The first buyers at Cranbrook, Mark and Sara Bennellick, from Exeter, bought their two bedroom coach house as an investment to rent out and were among the hundreds of people who visited Cranbrook on its first day of opening in May 2012.
