Countrywide scoops top industry award for anti-fraud measures

Countrywide, the UK's largest property services group, including the largest estate agency and lettings network, collected a top prize at the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards 2013, held in London on Wednesday 21st November.

Countrywide Surveying Services and Countrywide Conveyancing Services scooped the award for Best Anti-Fraud Measure, which was nominated by people from within the industry and judged by a panel of industry experts who chose the winner.

Countrywide Surveying Services and Countrywide Corporate Property Services were highly commended at the awards in the category of Excellence in Customer Service/Treating Customers Fairly for non-lenders. 

Commenting on the award for Best Anti-Fraud Measure, Alyn North, Managing Director of Countrywide, said: "We are delighted to scoop this award, which is testament to our anti-fraud measures embedded throughout our company. We are committed to fighting fraud and are the first and currently only company of our size and kind to achieve ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Certification, which covers our core business-to-business trading divisions and sets us apart from our competitors."

At last year's Mortgage Finance Gazette awards, Countrywide Conveyancing Services were highly commended in the Innovator Award for Non-Lenders.
