Peter was appointed non-executive director of the Company in February 2016 and took over as non-executive chairman at the Company’s AGM on 27 April 2016. He is also chairman of Royal Mail plc and Parques Reunidos Servicios Centrales S.A.U. A respected business leader, Peter had a long and successful executive career in the travel industry. This included transforming a small UK tour operator, First Choice, into Europe’s largest leisure travel Group, TUI Group. In February 2016 after a planned succession transition period Peter stepped down as Chief Executive of TUI AG and joined its Supervisory Board. He was formerly senior independent non-executive director of RAC plc (2001-2005) and Rentokil Initial plc (2005-2014). He was also a non-executive director of Debenhams plc (2006-2009).
Group Chief Financial Officer
Himanshu joined the Board in June 2017 and assumed the CFO role from 1 August 2017. Himanshu brings 25 years’ experience in large multinational organisations in the business and IT services, software and telecommunications sectors.
He was previously CFO of G4S plc for 3 years where he was responsible for finance, treasury, tax, IR and M&A and IT and procurement. Over the 3 years, Himanshu strengthened the controls and governance across the group, delivered significant cost transformation and oversaw a significant improvement in profitability and cashflow.
Himanshu was CFO of Misys plc, under PE ownership; and prior to that, was CFO of Logica plc, where he was responsible for the sale of the Group to CGI in a £2.1bn transaction. Himanshu graduated in law from the University of Wales, and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989.

Group Operations Director
Joined the Group in October 2006.With nearly 20 years industry experience, Paul has overall responsibility for the Group’s B2B offering (Lambert Smith Hampton, Land & New Homes including Hamptons Residential Development Investment, Professional Services, Corporate Property Services and Corporate Business). Paul joined from Rightmove where he was one of the operational Managing Directors through a period of significant growth and change. Former senior roles have been with Nationwide Building Society and with Countrywide immediately prior to joining Rightmove where he was a Director of Countrywide Surveyors and different Group companies.
Managing Director, Financial Services
Peter joined Countrywide’s Executive Team in September 2015, in the role of MD, Financial Services. Peter brings with him a wealth of experience from the banking sector having spent the last eight years in the intermediary mortgage sector as Director of Strategic Partnerships, Lloyds, where he played a key role in the Intermediary team as the business doubled between 2010 and 2014. Previously he held roles at Capital Bank and HBOS. As the largest single mortgage broker in the UK, Peter is responsible for our dedicated network of over 650 consultants and Mortgage Intelligence, one of the most successful networks in the UK with over 400 advisers. He is also responsible for our general and life insurance teams who delivered insurance products through exclusive partnerships to more than 150,000 customers in 2014.
Managing Director, Business to Business
Paul joined Countrywide in December 2011 as Head of Field Operations, and has since thrived in various roles before arriving at Managing Director, Business to Business from July 2017.
Along with the rest of the B2B leadership team, Paul is tasked with maximising value to Group through delivering integrated solutions to our Corporate Business Partners, many of whom we have relationships extending over many years.
With over 20 years of experience in the property industry, Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds an MA in Business & Management from Durham Business School.
Prior to joining Countrywide Paul previously held senior management posts at Halifax Intermediaries and Colleys Surveyors within Lloyds Banking Group (LBG).
Chief Risk & Compliance Officer
Grant joined Countrywide in April 2015 taking on the role of Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, and joined the Executive Team in January 2017. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Countrywide plc pension scheme.
Grant has spent the last 20 years working in governance, risk and compliance roles within industry/sector leading FTSE 100/250 organisations.
In his role at Countrywide, Grant is responsible for the Group’s Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit functions and since joining has progressed a series of changes to our governance, risk and compliance activities across the Group to embed better ways of working that ultimately ensure our business, our customers and our colleagues are safe and legal at all times.
Chief Information Officer
Paul joined Countrywide in March 2016 as the new Chief Information Officer. As well as managing the day to day operations of the IT department and playing a key role in delivering critical technology projects, Paul has responsibility for Procurement across the Group as well as Programme Management.
Prior to this, Paul was Chief Operating Officer at Openwork, and his other previous experience includes senior roles at Aviva, Bupa and Ernst & Young.
